ਧੰਨ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕSpreading the sound of Dhan Guru Nanak

Kirtan and Katha, recorded live around the world.

For more than ten years DGN Sounds has recorded Kirtan, Katha and inspirational talks at programmes across the globe, and shared them freely so Sangat can take laha wherever they are. Everything lives on three platforms.

Three places, one archive

Listen, watch and follow.

DGN Sounds doesn't host recordings here. This page brings the three platforms together so you can pick the one that suits how you listen.

  1. SoundCloud

The main archive. Full programmes and individual shabads, Katha and talks, from recent samagams to rare recordings made years ago. Best for listening in the car, at home or on a walk.

Audio · more than 1,800 recordings · free to stream

  2. YouTube

Video recordings of Kirtan, Katha and talks, so you can see the darbar as well as hear it. Subscribe to be told when a new programme goes up.

Video · full programmes and highlights

  3. Instagram

Short, inspiring posts about Sikhi and Kirtan, plus news of new uploads. Follow along if you'd like a little something in your feed each week.

Why Sangat listens

Recorded in the room, shared as it was.

  • Quality you can sit with

Clear, well balanced recordings that keep the atmosphere of the darbar. Good enough to listen to for an hour, not just a clip.

  • Rare and historical recordings

Alongside recent programmes, the archive holds older recordings you won't easily find elsewhere, preserved and shared for Sangat.

  • Programmes from around the world

DGN Sounds has travelled to record Kirtan and Katha wherever Sangat gathers, so you can take laha from a samagam on the other side of the world.

  • Seva, not a business

No subscriptions, no paywall, no adverts on this site. Recordings are shared freely because that is the point of making them.

About DGN Sounds

Why we record.

DGN Sounds is committed to spreading the divine love of our Gurus through high quality recordings of Kirtan, inspirational talks, Katha and much more. We want to give Sangat a way to connect with our Gurus' divine message wherever they are. There are amazing programmes happening worldwide, and we want Sangat to be able to take laha from them, wherever they are.

How DGN Sounds works

Run as seva
DGN Sounds is a small team recording and sharing Kirtan and Katha in their own time. It isn't a company or a registered charity, and nothing here is for sale.
Recording requests
Programmes are recorded as capacity allows and usually come about through word of mouth. We aren't able to take on new recording or live-streaming requests at the moment.
Get in touch
The easiest way to reach us, share feedback or say hello is through the comments and messages on Instagram or SoundCloud.
